The First Blog Post. (not ever)

The dreaded first entry to a new blog, or as my friend Dave coined it "A free blog that no one reads, yet."
At least there is no pressure, if I do not count the pressure I put on myself. I do not think I will write anything that will get me fired by myself. Maybe a strongly worded reprimand or possibly a disjointed worded reprimand, similar to this blog post. I created this blog after a search landed me on this: http://www.golfdigestpromotions.com/dreamassignment/default.asp

It is a dead link, much like my hopes of winning the contest, especially considering that it ended in 2010.

The contest challenged the contestant to write a 800-word story covering a professional golf tournament. The winner (won) a trip to the 2010 Open Championship at St. Andrews. I was excited about the prospect of coming up with a piece for the contest, and a little disappointed when I read the small print. The good news is the dead link led to a link, this link, which is not dead nor missing, but one will have to want to find it to read it. Hopefully when it is read, it is not deleted from a computer's memory or the reader's.
As we move forward, the idea is that "Kyle learns how to write" (working title, see above) will become more accessible, and hopefully more entertaining and informative. If this blog leads to me writing golf articles in Scotland, all the better.
